Getting the most from our services

  • Contacting us online for non-urgent problems keeps phone lines free for those without internet access or with urgent problems. We have information on how to contact us.
  • Consider looking at our self-help options or seeking advice from a pharmacist, optician, physiotherapist, or mental health team for help with minor illnesses and problems. We have links to useful resources and local services.
  • When you contact us our team will ask you a little about the issue you require help with. This ensures we can assess how urgent your problem is and ensure you receive the right care from the right person.
  • We are unable to help with minor injuries, please use 111 online or call 111 who can assist.
  • We are unable to provide proof of Covid19 vaccination status, please use the NHS app or call 119.
  • Please do not attend the surgery in person unless you have been requested to do so. If you have been given a face to face appointment and then develop Covid19 symptoms (new cough, new loss of taste/smell, fever) please contact us before you attend.
  • We are a multi-disciplinary team with GPs, nurse practitioners, specialist nurses, practice pharmacists, nurses, care coordinators, physiotherapists, mental health practitioners, podiatrists, midwives, nurses, health care assistants, and skilled administrators.
  • We are a teaching practice which means we train trainee GPs, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and medical students. You may be asked to help us educate the workforce of the future, though of course you will not be treated any differently if you decline. Teaching others keeps our staff’s knowledge and skills up to date, and many of our GPs used to train with us and liked us so much they stayed.
  • We take part in medical research to improve the care for you and the population.
  • Due to demand during the pandemic we are limiting all non-NHS work. This includes requests for letters of support, reports for non-NHS organisations, and medicals. We hope you understand if we politely decline a request or there is a delay in arranging your request. We have taken this decision to ensure we can continue to provide good quality NHS care.
  • We are unable to help with dental issues. Please contact your dentist or use 111 online or call 111.
